The 6S shaker mostly adopts eccentric elbow plate shaking mechanism. The 6S shaker is one of the gravity separation equipment for separating fine-grained ores. It is widely used for the separation of tungsten, tin, niobium and other rare and precious metals, as well as iron and manganese ores. In recent years, it has also been reported that the shaker is used to recover iron minerals and non-metallic minerals such as mica in the tailings of magnetic separation plants.

The flow of shaker sorting is that the flushing water fed by the water supply tank flows in a uniform thin layer along the inclined direction of the bed surface, that is, horizontally. The slurry is fed to the bed surface by the ore feeding trough. Under the action of the washing of the transverse water flow and the longitudinal reciprocating asymmetric movement of the bed surface, the movement direction of the ore particles with different specific gravity and particle size on the bed surface will also be different. The fine ore mud flows directly along the inclined direction of the bed surface and settles between the ore particles on the bed surface. Due to the shaking of the bed surface and the eddy current formed by the washing water in the trough, Stratification occurs according to specific gravity and particle size. The ore particles with small specific gravity and large particle size are washed to the upper layer by eddy current, followed by the ore particles with small specific gravity and small particle size. The ceramsite sand equipment is the ore particles with large specific gravity and large particle size in the lower layer. The ore particles with large specific gravity and small particle size drill through the gap between the ore particles and are located in the lower layer. This process is called "separation and stratification".

6S shaker is usually composed of bed surface, frame and transmission mechanism. In addition, there are flushing tank, ore feeding tank, machine base, etc. the whole bed surface is supported or lifted by the frame, and the frame is equipped with slope adjustment device. 6S shaker can make the ore particles move in different directions according to their density and particle size, and fan out along the diagonal from the ore feeding tank, and discharge along the edge of the bed in order. The ore discharge line is long, and can produce a variety of products of different quality. The shaking mechanism is the main part of the shaking table. It is directly related to the loosening, stratification and longitudinal movement speed of ore particles on the bed surface. According to the characteristics of reciprocating motion, it can be divided into two categories. One is the head of the bed that produces approximately symmetrical motion, such as the fast shaker supported by spring. At present, it is rarely used and will not be introduced; The other is the bed head with asymmetric reciprocating motion characteristics, mainly including eccentric elbow plate, cam lever and inertia spring. The advantages of eccentric connecting rod bed head are: large stroke adjustment range, convenient adjustment, and better than other bed heads when selecting coarse sand. The disadvantage is that the structure of the head of the bed is complex, the elbow plate is easy to break, and there are many wear parts. The head of 6-s shaker is widely used in tungsten concentrators in China.
